One of the major challenges for EV adoption in Sri Lanka is the lack of proper infrastructure. Charging stations are limited, making long-distance travel a concern for potential buyers. Additionally, the high initial cost of EVs, along with uncertainties around battery life and replacement expenses, have slowed consumer confidence. However, these challenges are not permanent. As technology advances and global manufacturers expand production, costs will drop, and infrastructure will improve. The key lies in consistent policy support and investment.
